01.09.2014: I have joined the Computer Vision group at TU Munich headed by Prof. Dr. Daniel Cremers. My new profile will be here.
05.04.2014: Our team NimbRo@Home has won the RoboCup@home league at the German Open in Magdeburg for the fourth time in a row. It was a great time, this will be my last RoboCup competition for some time.
20.01.2014: I have submitted my PhD thesis "Efficient Dense Registration, Segmentation, and Modeling Methods for RGB-D Environment Perception".
12.11.2013: We participated in the 2013 SpaceBot Cup organized by the German Aerospace Center (DLR). We developed a complete system with 3D rough terrain SLAM and navigation capabilities, mobile manipulation abilities, and a networking / teleoperation interface that could handle the 2 seconds network delay well. See this link for further details and some nice pictures/videos.
30.06.2013: We won the 2013 RoboCup@home competition in Eindhoven with our team NimbRo@Home ! Check this link for details.
30.01.2013: Bastian Gaspers (Oehler) released his implementation of our multi-resolution plane segmentation algorithm. Find the source code on GitHub
