Lab in block from Feb. 21st to March 18th, 2011
We still accept participants.
In the lab, students will develop software
modules
for our domestic service robots Cosero and Dynamaid, which compete in the
RoboCup@Home League.
The main tasks for such robots are:
* Robust navigation in indoor environments
* Object manipulation
* Intuitive multimodal interaction with the user.
In the lab, the students will work in
small groups.
In the seminar, we will review the state-of-the-art in robust indoor navigation, dextrous manipulation, and intuitive human-robot interaction, targeted for domestic service robot applications.
The course is a good
preparation for writing a thesis in the Autonomous Intelligent Systems group.
Active participants will
have the opportunity to join our RoboCup team NimbRo.
- Good programming skills
in C/C++ or some other object-oriented programming language.
- Knowledge in robotics, artificial
intelligence, or machine learning is helpful.
