Content

We will discuss topics ranging from the biological visual system to modern technical vision systems.

The seminar topics will focus on structure and function of the mammalian visual system. Basic principles from the biological vision proccess, that bear the capability to enhance modern technical vision systems will be presented. State-of-the-art technical approaches to high level vision will be discussed with respect to, and in comparison to the biological role model.

The talks are scheduled for 45 minutes each, plus 15 minutes for discussion. Each talk is accompanied by a written report of 8 pages.

  • There are no prerequisits for this seminar in Winter 2010/2011.
  • The seminar will be operated in English, however, you may also give a talk in German.
  • The Seminar will be organised as one or two blocks in January 2011.
