This lecture is one of two introductory lectures of the intelligent systems track of the master programme "Computer Science". It is open for CS diploma students [B4].

The lecture starts with basic principles of sensorimotor systems, like feedback control and prediction, and leads to cognitive capabilities, like perception and action-planning in complex environments.
Biological sensorimotor and cognitive systems will be contrasted with technical cognitive systems.
The lecture also covers adaptation and learning in autonomous systems.
